March 20th - The Keeleys
Bob Keeley and son Joe come together to form 'The Keeleys' specialising in country music and classic rock 'n' roll. Bob sings lead vocals and plays guitar, while Joe plays banjo, guitar and mandolin and sings backup vocals.
Bob has received many accolades in his career, the most recent of which are:
BCMA Solo Artist of the Year 2011
CCN Entertainer of the Year 2016
BCMA and CCN 2017 Solo Act of the Year
CCN Male Vocalist of the Year 2018
The duo cover songs from Country artists such as - Marty Robbins, Toby Keith , Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Keith Urban, Josh Turner, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, George Jones and George Strait, but also have a full repertoire of Rock'n'Roll favourites from 50s artists like Billy Fury, Bobby Vee, Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke, Ricky Nelson, Roy Orbison, Bobby Vinton, Eddie Cochran, Bobby Darin, Buddy Holly, The Diamonds, Anthony Newley, Elvis and many more!!
Following the official guidelines regarding the Corona Virus the committee of Phoenix Riders LDC have made the decision to cancel the social on Friday 20 March at Spring Lodge Community Centre.
We will closely monitor the official advice and will let all our members know when anything changes regarding future socials.
We are sorry we have to take this action but we hope you all appreciate why and that everyone stays well.
